New: 3.1b20070129

New in this build:

  • Bug fixes regarding the Extract Title from Filename option
  • Added tooltips to remind users that every field except Lyrics has a 255-character limit
  • Fixed a few German and Spanish translations
  • Re-added the use of an asterisk next to the filename to indicate unsaved files

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page. I’d also like to remind people that a Mac build is now available, though I haven’t tested it at all. I don’t have access to a Mac, but if anyone would like to test it out for me, please do so and leave feedback and bug reports in the comments of this and subsequent posts.

New: 3.1b20070124

New in this build:

  • Extract name from filename if no name is present within the file
  • Fixed a bug where multiple cast members couldn’t be deleted simultaneously
  • Spanish language support

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page.

New: 3.1b20070118

New in this build:

  • Bug fixes (I don’t remember what exactly, but you should definitely upgrade to this version)
  • Changed the way the progress bar displays information
  • German language support (thanks to Chris)

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page.

New: 3.1b20070114

New in this build:

  • Ability to set cast members (actors, directors, producers) - please note, however, that nothing will show up in iTunes for Windows as of its most recent version
  • Edit menu is completely back
  • Copy to All (Ctrl+Click on field label) is back
  • Close tabs on save option
  • Misc bug fixes

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page.

Testers Needed

I’m currently aware of a few bugs within the current build, but I am hesitant to release it until I have some Mac OS X testers. Features planned for the next build include:

  • German and Spanish language support (the former courtesy of a user named Chris, the latter of myself [I studied Spanish in school])
  • Ability to add cast members, directors, and producers, though it appears that this only works on OS X as iTunes doesn’t support the tag on Windows (this is the primary reason why I need Mac testers)
  • Close Tabs on Save option
  • Multiple bug fixes as reported by users

New: 3.1b20070105

New in this build:

  • New field (part of Rating): rating reason (you should type it in the form [Rating] for [Reason]); this will appear when you click Get Info in iTunes, on the first tab under “Rating:”
  • Fixed a few bugs related to iTMS tags

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page.

I’m still working on the cast info, I can’t get it to work right yet.

New: 3.1b20070104

New in this build:

  • Fixed layout problems by re-implementing subtabs (but with a much better organization)
  • Re-implemented support for iTMS tags (if the checkbox next to them is selected, it means they won’t be removed from the file)
  • Temporarily removed the edit menu (though Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc still work) while I find a better way to integrate them
  • Made Excel and XML export files human-readable
  • When opening multiple files, the first tab opened retains focus

You can grab Tagger 3 from the Download page.

Also, you’ll soon be able to set movie cast and crew members (actors, directors, producers) via an upcoming build which I hope to release in the next day or so.
